Lakers' Bryant still mulling playing abroad

SINGAPORE (AP) — Kobe Bryant says he's still considering playing overseas as an owners' lockout of players threatens to sabotage the upcoming NBA season.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar told The Associated Press on the sidelines of a youth basketball clinic in Singapore on Saturday that he didn't know if there will be a 2011-2012 season and hasn't ruled out playing …

Gadgets, gizmos and guinea pigs.(Entertainment)

THE new Disney macho rodent action picture, G-FORCE, opening in Durban today, skews toward pre-teens in self-explanatory ways, promising gadgets, gizmos and guinea pigs in 3D.

The script comes from the Wibberleys (Marianne and Cormac, husband and wife), who already sound like their own Disney TV series, though they worked on everything from the second, excremental Bad Boys to Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, along with the kid-aimed remake of The Shaggy Dog and the National Treasure pictures.

Sample dialogue here: "Get your butt out of my face!" "Get your face out of my butt!"

But, in other ways, G-Force has the vibe of a typical R-rated Jerry Bruckheimer …

Growing in faith at snow camp

Valaqua

I loved snow camp! I filled my days with doing crafts; listening to the speaker, Allyson Lucas; singing; and just hanging out with friends.

Friday night was spent finding a room and meeting people. We spent a lot of our evening playing games oriented towards helping us meet new people.

On Saturday night we played Mission Impossible. It was great!

One thing that happened on Saturday that wasn't so great, though, was the speaker slipped on the ice and broke a bone in her elbow. She had to be taken to the hospital.

The weekend's theme was "How you see others, how you see yourself, and how you see God." A prison inmate named Rob came in to talk …

New York's broker pay disclosure law not retroactive, court says.

Byline: MARK A. HOFMANN

Insurance brokers do not have to have to disclose incentive arrangements with insurers that were entered into before New York state's disclosure regulation took effect Jan. 1, the New York Court of Appeals has ruled.

The case was brought by the New York attorney general's office against Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc. The state's complaint contained four causes of action that alleged Wells Fargo engaged in "repeated fraudulent or illegal acts" in violation of state law, was unjustly enriched, committed common law fraud and breached its fiduciary duties.

The court, which is New York's highest, said in its Feb. 17 ruling in People vs. Wells …

Internet changing activities on campus quicker than a wiki.(Life - Money)

Byline: SUSAN KINZIE Washington Post

First, the Internet turned colleges upside down, extending classrooms and changing the way people learned. Next came Napster and other file-sharing tools, then Web logs. Now, blogs are morphing into the next big thing on campus: wikis.

The wiki, which got its name from the Hawaiian word for quick , is the scrappy little brother to the blog, an interactive Web page that can be changed by anyone who stumbles upon it. While blogs let people publish their thoughts online, wikis take things a step further, creating freewheeling, collaborative communities: Students can edit one another's work, bounce ideas or link to infinite other Web sites.

"Students keep pushing for more interactivity, often in ways I …
